I've been a Windows user for years and it is still my primary platform for work. I also still have a Windows desktop at home for gaming, etc. This is my first Apple machine and so far I'm loving it. I finally made the leap to an Apple based machine once they switched to Intel so I could dual boot it. However, I've yet to install Bootcamp/Windows as I want to become much more familiar with OSX and don't want to be tempted to take the easy way out by booting into Windows.
I have to say, this thing is great! My only regret is that I didn't up the memory from 1GB to 2GB for $175. Now it would cost me $300+ after the fact. But the 1GB hasn't been a limitation at all with OSX. I'm just afraid that I'll feel it once I finally dual boot Windows.
I've really been impressed with how easily everything works right off the bat. I was very surprised when I plugged in a Dell USB optical mouse and it instantly worked. However, I was SHOCKED when I did a right click and got the context menu! Not having right click functionality was the one thing I thought I'd really miss. I've also learned that hitting ctrl key while tapping the touchpad clicker will also perform the right click.
I have experienced some growing pains with OSX though. But mostly it's from me always trying to do everything the Windows way. It took me awhile to actually figure out how to correctly install an application. It was pretty frustrating to install something and have no clue where it went. But it didn't take very long to figure out what was going on.
While I'm really loving this, I don't see myself ever making a complete switch from Windows to Mac, but I guess you can never say never. But I don't see myself ever being without an Apple machine now either.
Also, this was purchased with my corp discount, hence the slightly cheaper price.
